Family background: Son of Damian and Suman Manisha Pucey (born Thirumalai). The Puceys are fully pure-blood of very old family lines. Adrian was born and raised in Bangalore, India. Father (English) is an obliviator and partially supportive of Lord Voldemort, mother (Indian) has no specific occupation and has never revealed her political views.

Adrian's choice was mostly founded in his growing understanding of what and who his father truly is and the thought of mind control in any way is abhorent to him. That fear or disgust with mindcontrol was founded when he was subjected to it, when he from his 14th to his 17th year was trained by his father in resisting the Imperio spell and other of the same nature. As an effect, he has a rather high resistence against such spells, but only to a certain degree and depending on the strength of the caster.

They moved to England when Adrian turned 9, since they had decided he should go to Hogwarts. The Puceys live just south of London on a minor estate.

He has been forced to break contact with his home after choosing the Auror career over an Obliviator career, due to his fathers rather negative views on the Auror force and of course his silent support of Voldemort and his goals. Adrian still has contact with his mother and tries to see her when his father is out of town. He lives on his own in a small flat, mostly funded by what money he managed to take with him, and the pay from the Ministry.
